Hello, I’m Alena Gornaya, a dedicated English teacher with a passion for language education. Throughout my journey, I have honed my skills and expertise to better serve my students. Let me take you through my career and experiences.

In 1998, I graduated from the Foreign Languages Faculty of Birsk Pedagogical Institute, marking the beginning of my teaching journey. For 9 years, I wholeheartedly devoted myself to teaching English, continuously seeking opportunities for growth. During this period, I undertook several professional development courses, including the advanced English language course, project-based learning and teaching English, and English language training for pre-school and primary school children. These courses were conducted by highly-esteemed professionals from Omsk Languages Academy and representatives from the esteemed British Council.

In 2007, while working at Ufa Languages Academy, I took the initiative to develop my own language course called «Business English for Elementary Students.» This comprehensive course spanned over 40 lessons, designed to empower my students with essential language skills for the corporate world. My dedication to language education led me to explore new opportunities, and in 2010, I transitioned to work as a translator at the prestigious Russian-Turkish holding, SISECAM. After two years, in 2012, I made a significant career shift and obtained my diploma as an economist and manager, securing a position as a production planning specialist within the company.

However, my passion for teaching never faded, and in 2019, I returned to the field I truly love. I was appointed as the regional sales representative at SISECAM, allowing me to further utilize my communication skills while maintaining my commitment to education.

Unfortunately, the challenging economic situation in the country and globally in 2022 resulted in the downsizing of the sales department. Consequently, I seized the opportunity to return to my true calling — teaching English. Now, I am thriving as an English teacher, imparting knowledge to both children and adults at the prestigious MILLENNIUM English language school.

With a strong background in teaching and diverse experiences in the corporate world, I bring a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge to my classroom. In the present moment, I find great joy in my role as an esteemed educator at SkyEng. It is an honor to accompany individuals of all ages, both adults and children, on their remarkable voyage of language acquisition. Through personalized one-on-one sessions and intimate group interactions, I strive to create a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere that fosters growth and development.
